WŁODZIMIERZ
ILNICKI,
born 27th October1952 in Prudnik, was a graduate of the Faculty
of Graphic at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, branch in
Katowice.
He was specialised in painting, drawing and applied graphic.
He was a member of the Union of the Polish Artists, branch in
Bielsko-Biała.
He took part in many exhibitions in Poland and abroad:
In 1983 he exhibited his works in the BWA Gallery in Bielsko
during the All-Polish Painting Exhibition „Bielska Jesień”, and
at the exhibition of members of the Union of the Polish Artists
in Monlucon, France.
A year later he was awarded by the president of Bielsko-Biała
during the following „Bielska Jesień” contest; he also got the
honorable mention during the „Prowincja” contest in Włocławek.
He took part in the International Contest of Satirical Drawing „Satyrykon”
in Legnica in 1985, 1997 and 1998, where His works gained
recognition of the members of the jury and were presented at the
post-contest exhibitions.
The Artist exhibited his works at the Polish Arts Exhibition „DE
OSSEKOP” in Utrecht (the Netherlands) in 1986, a year later he
took part in collective exhibitions in other Dutch cities:
Arnhem, Breda and Rotterdam.
His works were also exhibited in the Museum of Caricature in
Warsaw in 1997.
In January 1998 he took part in the exhibition entitled
„Święta”, which was organised in the Museum of Caricature in
Warsaw. The exhibition was accompanied by an auction for flood
victims and for artistic community of Opole, especially for that
High School of Fine Arts.
In 2002 and 2003 he built maquettes of the Bielsko-Biała Castle.
He died 11th September 2004 in Wrocław while he was working on
his individual exhibition. |
